My Services
An inital consultation is free of charge. We meet, usually in your home. It's important for moms, and their partners, to feel safe and comfortable with the doula, and at this visit we will get to know each other.
When you hire me my service includes:
- - 2 Prenatal visits**
- **The first one is where I will answer any and all questions that you might have about your impending birth. We can work on a birth plan. If this is not your first baby , you may want to talk about your previous birth experiences.
- ** The second is where we talk more about labour and birth and practise relaxation, breathing, positions and comfort measures you will use during your labour.
- - You will also have full access to my lending library.
- - For 2 weeks prior to birth I am available to you by phone or email 24/7.
- - When your labour commences you will have Continuous Labour Support (by phone in early labour, then I'll come join you as soon as you feel you need me.)
Birth Support
- - 2 hours post-natal (includes helping mom get settled with baby, and if desired, breastfeeding support.)
- - One postpartum visit within a week of giving birth. I bring a meal and answer any questions you may have about your birth.
- - One more postpartum visit (if necessary) about one month after the birth.
- - Phone and email support during pregnancy and one month postpartum.
